I have enclosed the information I currently have on these people for your reference. I would like to know if you have a record of William Heath's birth, or marriage and if your records indicate his parents and Catharine's parents. I am also interested in learning the parents of the Julia mentioned in Amos' records.
It has been my experience that the vital statistics books published and found in many Massachusetts libraries are not entirely accurate. Becket, Massachusetts records in their town hall are far more extensive on the Harris family than the vital statistics books indicate for that period of time.
I will also be very grateful to learn the address of the local library and name and address of Tyringham's historian(s).

In her book A Hinterland Settlement, a history of Tyringham, Massachusetts, Eloise Meyers told a colorful story about Ebenezer Heath, which she must have learned from people who had, in turn, heard the tale handed down from generation to generation.
After Lydia (Utley) Heath d., Ebenezer Heath m. to her cousin Dorcas (Slaughter) Heath, and from that started a family feud which lasted through four generations. By the fourth no one knew just what the quarrel was all about, only that "My set of Heaths are not related to your set of Heths", as they were called. According to the family tale, Ebenezer Heath played around with Dorcas (Slaughter) Heath bef. Lydia (Utley) Heath d., and her family sorely resented the m. One result of this Heath complexity was that Ebenezer Heath and his s's. sought refuge among the hills of Berkshire. Solomon Heath located on Jerusalem Road, and William Heath settled in Sodom. Mrs. Meyers d. a few years bef. a research visit to Tyringham; the book was out of print and efforts to obtain a copy fruitless.
Ebenezer Heath apparently spent most of his life in Willington, Connecticut. There is ambiguity about the Ebenezer Heath in Ashford, Connecticut in 1776 and 1780, but chances are it was Ebenezer Heath, Jr.; in the 1790 Federal Census Ebenezer Heath was a resident of Willington, Connecticut; there were five in the family; s. Ebenezer Heath was head of a household in Ashford, Connecticut, four in his family.
